Polhemsgymnasiet is beautifully located in Lindholmen, a vibrant and knowledge-intensive center.

The school offers four higher education preparatory programs as well as the IMA program, with approximately 1700 students and 130 staff members.

Responsibilities

In your role as a teacher with us, your main task will be to teach Swedish, English, and/or Religion at the upper secondary level. You are expected to support and stimulate students to take responsibility for their own knowledge development. Furthermore, mentorship is an important part of your assignment.

You will actively work based on the educational administration's systematic quality work to develop the school. Collaboration is central, and you will be part of both program and subject working groups where you participate and actively contribute to collegial learning. In collaboration with school management and colleagues, you contribute to creating the best possible conditions for the school's students to thrive, develop, and achieve their goals.

Qualifications

We are looking for a licensed and qualified teacher at the upper secondary level in at least two of the subjects Swedish, English, and Religion. We prefer that you have several years of experience in the teaching profession. You see the computer as an obvious tool for both communication and pedagogy.

As a teacher with us, you have a formative classroom practice and a good ability to clarify the goals of your teaching as well as your assessments for the students. Your expectations for each student are high, and you have the ability to convey these in a way that motivates the student and gives them strength and belief in themselves. It is of great importance that you can build relationships with your students in teaching, as this is fundamental for good learning. You are skilled at adapting your teaching so that it becomes accessible to all students in the teaching group and can meet students in need of individual adjustments and support.

Your ability to collaborate and actively participate in developing teaching and the school's operations based on curriculum goals through systematic quality work is of utmost importance. For you, it is natural to share ideas and experiences to develop the school as a whole.
